I started a new module in Chapter 2 OC with my lvl 40 sorceror....

summoned 7 balors with Gate in town without casting Protection from Evil, so that they wouldn't disappear when I summoned another one

EPIC

Has anyone ever tried this?  The NPCs were dying left and right, lmao

(I ran away from them, the balors were mostly occupied with killing NPCs so I didn't have much trouble)

Also worked somewhat on hostile NPCs

Yep indeed, I used to do this on a PvP server, if you stay out of the AoE & cast g.sanct before hand, the Balors ignore you completely!

Funniest thing I have ever witnessed was a griefer who was doing this at the spawn in entrance to new players...and got caught in an AoE from one of the Balor's Implosions...

Needless to say, he failed his save.  Priceless!

As a DM you will watch a lot of cheaters or grievers do some really silly or even stupid things...

The funniest thing I got to witness was this one exploiter/cheater, who use to dupe item by dropping them & picking them up, so I made a script the kills/buys items when you drop them, it was funny to watch him lose his items from "trying" to dupe them.  (With the exception of a weapon during combat)  He picked up on the weapons during combat and I got to watch him try to dupe these, of course at this point I decided "It was time to reprimand him without confrontation."  So, I spawned a 5 really hard creatures on him which pick your pockets...  It's amazing to watch players react to being picked pocketed, because the monsters are concealed they are really hard to hit!

We all know those kind of monsters which drive you mad, I've seen Pick Pocketing monsters be more feared than any other kind of monster, but I don't spawn them normally, they are reserved for those who love to exploit / cheat..  '<img'>

That's some neat AI there, Genisys.

When I DM'd, we had mulers. I caught one red-handed and "faked" some items for them, that in turn that didn't confer the item benefit that they were claiming to. Basically, they equipped a ring of Protection +4 and it also had a set "curse" on it that conferred -4 to AC.

It was a bit funny when they realized their level 1 character was still useless.

Once gave a player a Ring of the Minotaur which conveyed strength and con bonus (and some cool other features) except when he walked past a cow which started to follow him....and would not stop following him no matter what. Every time he walked by a cow in game it followed him. CONSTANTLY.

In the end his Character developed a intense hatered for cows and minotaurs and sold the ring.

I remember being smarter than a DM!  LOL  What a ****** he was.  He thought it would be fun to spawn a bunch of TOUGH monsters in an area that already was above my level (just barely, but doable).  So i had to unleash a can of player wooping everything on screen.  The ****** wouldnt then let me rest.  So i had to get mean...  Turns out that sometimes, DM's arent the most powerful "things" on the realm  '<img'>

I used to use that balor spawning trick all the time with my level 20 wizard on a PW. Good times. One time as a DM I caught two players cybering in an out of the way area. I spawned a pair of imps into the room and disabled their AI, then began to mock the characters for their sexual prowess (or lack thereof), bizarre kinds, and goofy expressions. They got annoyed and killed the imps, which led to my spawning a dozen more. The two ran out of the area naked after being pelted by a barrage of magic missiles. Never ruin an imp's fun. '<img'>

The funniest things I ever witnessed though... it's hard to pick any single moment. Most of them were role-playing experiences as a player on one server or another.

Thank you. '<img'> It may not last forever though. '<img'> The forum choices are fairly limited. A lot of people upload a custom avatar for that reason.
