I had a feeling this was going to siphon off of Salvatore's latest book series with Drizzt which takes place in an around Neverwinter. It isn't even an original idea. I'm not sure how I feel about this but that's two strikes for me: 1 for Cryptic and 2 for riding in on Salvatore's premise. I'd give a third for 4th Edition but that was to be expected.

Thanks for the links Skunkeen and the heads up on this, although I don't think it'll ever match what Bioware did with Neverwinter Nights because it's online only by the sounds of it. That simply cannot compete against single player adventures full of plot twists and 500,000+ words of conversation. Unless of course, you count, "yo! sup. toon lvl & stats?" in a MMO/PW as conversation.

l8r dwg outs!

Well it all depends on how modifiable it is. If it will allow me to make my own creatures easily I mean like in a model making program (that does not cost a lot of money like NWN2), allow me to change it to 3.5 rules or other versions easy, has a great DM tool, has a lot of persistent world building base (ie let me easily have 64 or more people on etc..  I mean all these things would have to be better then the current NWN which will be hard to beat, if not then I stick with NWN '<img'>
