I'll fourth Funky's MS work-around and second Shia's patch link sticky request. 

There must be a dozen separate posts filed since the hak attack that dealt with the simple issue of procuring the patches so that former and new customers could play the game and have access to all the community content.

closer to where it ought to be.

It was stickied and it was de-stickied at pretty much the same time the "securing w/o the master server" thread  was stickied. Maybe there is an effort to cap the number of stickied topics? (Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. As an admin on another board, I know it can annoy forum regulars when the actual new topics are pushed far down the page by stickies.)
