« on: July 18, 2010, 09:54:32 pm »

Just wondering if there is any people that would be interested with adaptation of Dragon Age  and Mass Effect universes to NWN?

I am not. I would rather have 2nd ed, or better 1st ed rules for NWN.

*grin*  I think you'd have a hard time getting all the youngsters to wrap their heads around -10 AC and no skills or feats.

THACO rocks. High time the youngsters learned how to do math in their heads on the fly! Really its the stat point buy I hate. Thanks to it, and not rolling the dice it is impossible to have a starting stat greater than 16 in more than one stat. Stupid, lame, *insert other word here*.

@two above, you have no idea about Thaco or AC unless you played Pre 3rd ed.

I started D&D in 1979, before it was advanced, when it was 1st ed. So yes I know all about THACO.

yup. then roll the 30 sider to see if you loose a limb, or a hand, or a finger, or your nose. now that is good RP.

For those too young to have an idea what is being talked about:

THAC0 = To HIT AC Zero!   Ah yes!  The negative numbers!  I remember when i started nwn, having played only the old rules, not understanding what 3rd ed was, i thought 80AC must be horrible!  LOL  Thanks for reminding me that i am old too,  but not as old as some of you '<img'>

Heck I miss Elf and Dwarf actually being a class instead of a race. Now it seems we have all these completly idividual dark elfs running around with two swords and some big old kitty saying I be different! Look at me I be different!

While we are at it get off my lawn! Damn kids and thier halfassaimar/halfteifling dark elf dragon sorcerors....

               hi my friend jezira '<img'>

i would love to use Dragon Age stuffs for nwn1's engine but we need bioware agreement for that no?

and i guess we will not have it, saddly.

if a moderator can give us an official answer, it would be cool, or if he can not, may be he can ask for an official position of bioware.

Making game is time consuming and i respect the work done by bio team, i will not take materials without permission of bioware, even if i've bought DA. (eh we have only bought the right to play with DA material on DA engine)

thanks friends

Chico, I was just asking about the Universes, see original post.

For the rest I'm old enough to decide for myself what to do, as you are '<img'>
