That's what I'm wondering, too. I didn't find an option to do that yet and the FAQ says:

     Can I
upload my own photos to use as my website avatar?

     No, this is not
permitted.

Although strictly speaking the avatars of Ben and FP! are not "photos" (I hope '> ).

No I've looked, and I don't see how to immediately do it.  You can click change photo, but you get stuck with the usual avatars from select games (including NWN).  However I don't see my old avatars, so I'd like to upload one.

For any forum users with custom portraits, if you check their in-game character, you will find that they have a character whose portraits photo is the custom portrait. I suspect they do it with steps similar to the following:

- Create a DA character in game and create a save file.
- Inside "Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\character\\<your_char>\\save_1" (if it is the first save of this character) which will have four files inside.
- Replace the portrait PNG file with the custom portaits.
- Open DA, load the save of that character. Make another manual save again to trigger character files upload onto BSN.
- Wait for the character (include the custom portraits) to be uploaded onto BSN.
- The custom portrait will be availabe in the "Change Profile Photo" page.

That kinda clobbers those of us who are strictly NwN, and have no intention of running DA and the likes... stinky!  If indeed, that's the only way to have custom avatars...(not that I mind Aribeth, mind you...)

Hello to all you!  It's great to see that the community is still active and populating these new boards - I myself am a longtime lurker and only-twice poster, so I never really contributed anything to the forums, except perhaps emotional support!  In any case, it's great to see many of the big names from the other boards - this will be a wonderfully fresh start, indeed!

               Yeah think you're right, I just played fora  couple hours trying to get my avatar to upload again since it went all buggy.  Seems fine, and seems like you can replace the 2d avatar portrait which is also used to represent your personna.

There's only one theme that has a slightly larger font though, the others just change the background and I believe colors always stay the same. Probably not really what you're looking for...

               Folks, if more and more of us NWNers become friends, our status updates and posting will appear on the home page when you return to the site. Eventually, if you have enough NWN friends compared to other games on the social site, your home page will all be NWN activity.

Stick together, form the community.

Also, you don't need DA for custom portraits, just use the DA Character Creator that Bioware released before the game came out and follow Starlight's suggestion.

               The following is the tutorial which use DA Character Creator to upload custom avatar which the Character Creator is a free download. For Linux user, there is an entry in appDB inside wine's site which tell you how to execute the Character Creator through wine under Linux.
