There's a specific patch problem I have with http://nwvault.ign.c...comment_page=17
Pretty much the same thing I posted there, but because I'm not entirely sure how often that comment section is checked/visited. I figured I would try my luck here:
So I have a specific patch problem with this related to the fact that this module was originally made for 1.68 and then 1.69 came out which added a new prestige class, namely the Purple dragon knight...
Now because this classes 2da was missing that class, it kinda overwrote the base class in the game for most modules. However I managed to fix that by just adding the proper string values of the purple dragon knight class in the classes 2da file. Which solved the problems for other modules, the class is now recognized ingame...
However the problem seems to persist with the kosigan modules, when i start the game and try to level up.. It doesn't even show the class in the level up screen. And when I tested to import another character into the module with Purple dragon knight levels added, it only shows a fighter/bad strref or Bad string reference
Which makes me think this is related to the kosigan tlk file as well, due to some missing information on the purple dragon class that needs to be added.
Now all I'm wondering is exactly what kind of information do I need to input into the tlk or whatever other file, in order to fix the bad string reference? Unless I also need to edit the Hak and module files in some way.
I could of course always play through the module without the PDK class, but I have a specific build I want to try.
I'm well aware these are old modules at this point, all I'm curious about is if there's an easy hotfix available. Which I can do myself.
Essentially I just filled out the kosigan classes 2da with the purple dragon knight info i found here http://nwn.wikia.com...2da_(contents)ÂÂ
Just specifically: http://i59.tinypic.com/rtlunq.png
Anyway I just wondered if someone here had experience with this and know what the problem is. I just assumed it had something to do with the kosigan tlk, but I'm honestly not sure.
The bad strref seems to be the same across all the kosigan modules.
