The thing people don't realize about UAC is that even if you grant administrator privs to a program, it is - because of UAC - NOT the full access rights that programs once had in earlier versions of windows. This is why some older programs crash on burn on Vista and Windows 7. Once UAC is off any program you set to run as Admin will actually have 100% access, not the 98% it has under the umbrella of UAC.
