OK, so, I'm going to make this as blunt and short as possible because I'm about ready to stick my fist through the monitor.
Two days ago, my wonderful, beautiful XP computer (old as it may have been, I loved that thing), which I use solely to run older games such as NWN, died. In replacement, I'm using a back-up which has Vista (I'm crying rivers of hate about this). I was livid, but I calmed down quickly because as soon as I installed my copy of NWN Diamond and got it patched up, everything was *fine*. It ran the night the XP died and all of yesterday with no problems whatsoever.
This morning, I go to play it again, but a problem has appeared for no damn apparent reason. I can load up the game fine and dandy and all, but the second I hit the "Load" button on the main screen to pick back up from where I was, it locks up and I crash. I've also tried coming in through a new game with a new character and then trying to load from the options menu, but the same result occurs. I tried again, going through to save this time, and that went through with no problems, but when I back-tracked and tried load again, I crashed.
I'm getting really pissed, and this little punk computer is about to get thrown out a window, so any help that can be offered before I kill it would be wonderful.
