Another thing to note, when I do enter my HotU CD key in game when it prompts (after the cinimatics) it does not tell me that it is invalid, it just does nothing, I press enter and the CD-key disappears and it just goes in a loop, but if I enter anothyer one it says it is invalid, I think my CD key might be so old that it no longer works =P although this is probably not the case
I doubt that CD keys can become defunct, they are just based on an algorithm that will always work, at least for installing and playing single-player.
Apologies for not being familiar with the older versions, but from what you are describing, you have the original NWN and then SoU & HotU as separate expansions. If so...
I will pass this on from an earlier discussion I read somewhere which focused on the proper way to upgrade the game when purchased spearately (i.e. neither Diamond, Platinum nor Gold versions). The method required was to install basic NWN, apply the appropriate CR, then install SoU, apply the SoU CR and then finally install HotU and patch that one with its associated CR. That is three steps. I'll snoop around to see if I can find the original thread that addressed this, but this was the method suggested... much to my own surprise.
These should be the files you need to do the 3-step installation of v1.69 for Windows (English):
For the original English versionFor SoU expansionFor HotU expansionI recommend a clean install and complete removal of all previous installed folders, shortcuts, files before attempting to reinstall. Also, I would manually download these files so you know exactly which version of the CR you are installing. After you have completed the procedure, check your nwncdkey.ini and verify that the keys listed match those on the discs and if not , correct them before attempting to play on-line. Good luck!
