(technical information provided at bottom)
"Neverwinter Nights" does not display properly on my screen.
Borrowing a photo from a user with a similar problem, I see this:

The game screen is off center and extends onto my second monitor, but I cannot see the entirety of the screen. I can scroll onto the second monitor, and even past the game screen; selecting any part of my desktop off the game screen brings me back to the desktop, and I can still get back to the game screen. I cannot scroll below to the "hidden" part of the screen, below movies - for example, I cannot hit "exit". Disabling my second monitor, or even unplugging it, does not force the screen onto a single monitor.
If, under Properties->Compatibility->Settings, I select "Disable desktop composition", I get this: I

At that point, I can effectively play the game but it looks tiny on my monitor.
I have tried running the game in both 800x600 and 1920x1200 resolution (and various resolutions between). The screen size remains the same.
I have tried running windowed mode using the following:
[Display Options]
Width=1600
Height=1024
BitsPerPixels=32
RefreshRate=60
TexturePack=3
SafeMovie=0
AllowWindowedMode=1
FullScreen=0
UseLargeFont=1
(and less complicated versions, including just the allowedwindowmode and fullscreen parts)
I followed the Windows 7 set-up instructions.

FYI, the topic with the similar issue is this one:

However, that person's solution apparently involved a television set. Even if it applied here, I don't know how to follow the steps.
