Whenever I quick save it crashes

               WHEN it actually crashes is kind of arbitrary because I can quick save 3 times in a row and nothing will happen but 2 minutes later quick saving makes my game crash to the desktop. And the worst part is this - crashing while quick saving deletes the quick save itself. So I'm in chapter 2 now of the main campaign in the orc/goblin cave and I've had to do that thing over at least 2 times because of this. I've tried to google the solution but nothing's coming up. :/

Video Card Driver Version: Catalyst (not sure how to check but it's the latest '<img'>)
Sound Card Manufacturer: ATI

Sound Card Driver Version: not sure but it's the latest one

               Oviously, the simplest fix is just don't use quick save.  And to be honest, I only use it myself by accident, because it gets constantly over-ridden, not very handy when you need to check former areas.  Is there some reason you just don't stick to the normal save procedure?  Just curious.

However, ignoring my editorial... perhaps changing your machine's Virtual Memory setting may help.  Just for comparison's sake, mine is set at 1.5Gb, though I have never tinkered with it (Windows set the default when I installed the OS).  It quick saves fine, though I have neither Win7 as OS nor a mobile machine like you do.  I use an older ATI card with a much older driver. 

I've never red anything about this issue here or on the legacy board, but venturing into Win7 can be an adventure with the newer graphics cards and drivers that don't seem to support OpenGL apps like NWN.  Perhaps you can change the buffer memory allocated via your vcard/driver?  Dunno, but you might check its performance specs.  I've red the Catalyst performance can be customized to a certain extent.

edit: BTW, to determine the version of your Catalyst, open your primary Display Adapter specs via Control Panel's system properties Device Manager (assuming Win7 uses a similar interface, that is) and check the driver tab.

               Alrighty I think I'll stick to the hard saves from now on. I only use quick save because it's really convenient but I mean clicking 3 more times to save won't kill me. '<img'> I think it might be Windows 7 because NWN is generally buggy on that OS but besides that and water flashing my game is fine.

Hmmm... did you try disabling Shiny Water?  That's repaired several problems in the past.

               Ooooh, thanks! That worked perfectly. '<img'> Now my game won't cause epileptic fits.
