Registration Help Needed

               I don't know where to post this, who to e-mail or PM and I can't find a technical support forum that deals with the BioWare websites so please forgive it's inappropriate placement and place it in the proper forum. I am trying to register my account at BioWare after having made my first online account for NWN a week ago or so. I first received a 404 message when I attempted to register vis a vis the method provided by the registration e-mail and sent a message to webmaster@bioware.com but I haven't received a response yet. I recently received another "register your account" e-mail and the directions given therein did not actually direct me to a webpage where I could register my account, as though I had already done this but still received a reminder.                If....if I understand you correctly, I don't think you need to do anything.  If you were able to create your multiplayer account with no problems you are good to go.  I'm pretty sure you can create multiple online accounts but remember your CD keys uniquely identify you and any server you play on can see a sort of unique ID which is derived from your keys.

So don't get up to foolishness.  '>

You do not need to register at the old BioWare site or even this site or anything like that.

Since the game has not been supported by Atari since about 2006, and since Atari requested that BioWare stop supporting the game, any sort of registration (outside of the system you used to make your account online) is moot anyway.  Enjoy!

               I echo what Inayity just replied and also not completely sure if you are only having a problem registering your game on the legacy site. I am guessing that the message you are getting is because games can no longer be registered there, although I seem to recall a not-too-ancient thread here at social (I'll try finding it and amend this post if I do) stating that it actually IS possible to still register games there.

I believe all that the old game-registering procedure provided was a safeguard in case you forgot your CD keys, you could retrieve them from the site (of course that required you typed in the correct keys yourself since the procedure never actually validated what you typed in).  Also, they may have been used to play some of the Premium modules although don't take that for gospel because I never bought those on-line through Bioware so am unsure how that whole deal worked.

Edit: Meh... it was a comment Urk made in this thread a few months ago that must have stuck with me. It wasn't all that conclusive even then whether the old registration was discontinued or not.  Not much help, but the question did arise back then about the time the forums closed.
