NWN: Diamond - Critical Build and Vista

               Hello. I've heard that this game has troubles with Vista, seeing as it's an older game. The game told me that it's not compatible with my computer once I pressed 'play,' so I updated it. Updating it got me to V 1.24 and it told me I needed the Critical Rebuild V 1.69.

So I download this critical rebuild patch and it told me that the patch wouldn't work with my current install of NWN: Diamond.

So I'm in a bit of a rut, if you need me to post and specs, let me know.

               If you have the Diamond DVD, there's at least one patch on there, if I remember right. Install it from the DVD, install that patch, then run the patcher and do what it says. That's worked for me so far. '>

               When I first installed the game (this was Diamond edition under Windows Vista), I had some trouble getting the 1.69 patch to install. I think I got it working by installing the 1.68 patch first (NWNEnglish1.68HotUUpdate.exe) and then the 1.69 patch (NWNEnglish1.69HotUUpdate.exe). Maybe that approach will work for you.

               You may have got the wrong version of the critical rebuild. There are three varieties depending on if you just have the original game, the original and one expansion, or the original and both expansions.

The version below should work with the Diamond edition.
