               What you have done (unwittingly we'll sceptically believe for now) is to allow the dreaded PHoD Undead Animals to invade yet another previously pleasant corner of cyberspace!

(Shabby Hyena Lunatic cackles maniacally, foams at the mouth and falls backward off his chair).

After brief debate with Henesua, I have put up the following disgustingly murky nonsense...

PHoD H.R Giger Tilesets and Placeables
PHoD Undead Animals 3
PHoD NEW VFX
PHoD Sinister Spleen Surgery

These are free for anyone to use in any way they so desire... except for pasting them with blancmange, because that's just WRONG!

               Damn, sorry for heinous stupidity of double-posting...
Rolo:- Tried e-mailing you as soon as I got your communication... more than once, I might add, and the depraved HAL 9000 thing I have to use for internet access kept coming back with rubbish error messages saying the e-mail address I was sending to didn't exist or had gone mouldy or some damn thing... It seems mandatory for computer error messages to be utterly beyond comprehension. Anyway, I didn't say anything that isn't basically covered by what the last four posts say. Sorry if it seemed I was being ominously silent...
Oh, and maybe, just maybe, I'll find enough time to have a go at this challenge myself, sooner or later, though I've always created character specific Modules for my assorted homicidal Demonesses and Gnolls, so doing something more open will be in the nature of a dirty great experiment... to be conducted upon whatever hapless Spleens I can get hold of...

               <hiding something...>

What's wrong with Giger and blancmange? <boss, don't. please>
Well, I want to know... <no, boss. you don't>
But... <let it go, old man>
Hrmph. I kind of like the idea of the Plush One joining in <you would. probably the only one crazier than you>
Is not! <oh, right. the mad catter>
Yup =) <we are doomed>

               You may like the idea NOW, but, assuming I get anywhere at all, you may not like it so much AFTER seeing whatever half-finished, senseless imbecility might constitute a PHoD Experimental (emphasis on the mental) 'open' Module... ESPECIALLY if it was entitled "ATTACK of the UNDEAD BLANCMANGE"...
Just don't go there.

               I really like this idea. I've been spending so much time trying to make a massive NWN/2 module that keeps imploding on itself, so it might be good to switch it up a little. Plus, maybe finishing smaller modules will build my confidence so I can finally finish my big project.

I fear that I may not have to worry about the module-specifc custom content file size limit, though. The rare times I make my own custom stuff, it's a 2DA edit or portrait. Those never seem to get to 12 MB in size. '<img'>

               @Rolo's Raven Companion. I'll only say it once, so listen very carefully - chips (UK variety sometimes erroneously called French fries), Raven and chips. Mad, mad! I'll have you know I'm clinically sane (just). Verily a touch eccentric I'll grant, but mad? Especially when compared to a pair of world class loons (you know who you are).Now where's my fryer?

               <good. The old man's snoring...>

<*loons*?! trust a crazy cat to mistake a majestic raven for water fowl.

listen, mange-magnet, the old man's a big softy and, i admit, has a few difficulties with reality. in fact, i wouldn't be here if he didn't.

*but*!

the day some admittedly well dressed (you should wear more black, dear) kitty manages to *catch* me, let alone fry me, is the day cat-kind transcends to a higher plane.

and *fry*?! oh, please. do you know what all that oil would do to my feathers? can you say exxon?

i'd vastly prefer electrocution or a blast furnace... something that poofs out my plumage a bit.

now, let's talk about your *friend* a bit. do you have any idea how disgusting this sudden craving for blancmange is? it's *everywhere*! can't you reign in your pooch a little? he's leaving messes *everywhere*!

drat. he's snorting. he'll wake soon.

you'd better have a snail for me under that fancy hat of yours, puss.

*rainbow*, if you please>

<...don't want this to get boring>

               Speaking strictly as a player (and sometime beta) this is wonderful!  Leave it to you, henesau, to come up with such a wonderful community building idea!  Especially in keeping NWN alive!

Looking forward to seeing what this awesome community can pull together!

               I see my module will definitely fit and sprout many seeds of insanity in this so fertile ground. If it's ever gets finished that is.

You are in good company, werelynx, but please do finish your module.

I urge everyone - including myself most of all - to value completion over ambition. We always have the opportunity to generate our towering works of genius. But this challenge is not about that.

The Adventure Building Challenge is about completing a module in a month, and sharing in the insanity experience.

Do the best you can, and enjoy the process. When March arrives, I want to play your module, and talk about it. And I want to hear what you think about mine too. If you do not finish, we won't be able to share in that.

Another thing that may help you define a manageable scope is to think of this month's module as the first episode in a series of adventures. I am still working out the specifics, but in general, we want to encourage continuity. This is not to say that you continue working on an unfinished module and then eventually release it in a later challenge. The spirit of the challenge is to build for a month and then release your work, but if you complete an adventure one month you will be welcome to continue the story with a new module in another month.

               Messes? Who's leaving messes? I never went near no stinking messes! If there's reeking messes, then it's SOMEBODY ELSE'S BLANCMANGE, got it? BlancMANGE, I suspect, and Hyenas just don't do that. Not Plush ones anyway. It'd interfere with our true plush, cuddly lovableness. Said the rabid, towering mass of fang and fury... who's just discovered that his cute little idea for a challenge Module has inexplicably turned into a stupidly vast epic of freakish dimensions...
I don't think I have a hope of doing this unless I go for a story where the PC has to complete a journey from one side of a room to the other. I might be able to do that without it becoming a sixty area Gargantua. Maybe... Depending how many Undead Animals and hidden Planar Portals are in the room...

               <grumpily scraping up...>

She meant me, but they weren't *messes* <i calls 'em like i sees 'em>
I'm saving them for later <why?>
Because I wasn't ready to eat them yet... <you stared at the first pile for half an hour>
Right. Not quite ready yet... <then made some more and stared at that>
It's aging. That's the secret to a great blancmange. <and now you're aging it in the compost pile>
Yep! Ought to add a little heat to the pile, don't you think? <probably sterilize it>
Heh. You're a pessimist. <realist>
Tomay-toe, tomah-toe <*raven glare* you gonna get back on topic, wizard?>
Oh.
Right.
Er,... <single room? gargantuan module...?>
Egggs - *sactly*! My "Hordes!" module will be huge! Gargantuan! Gi*NORM*ous! <in an itty bitty single area>
Yup. The whole mod. Like a one act play. <he's setting realistic expectations... so don't expect much>
Right :-)
Wait... :-/
What? <it will be a zen masterpiece of simplicity, i said>
Oh, that's all right then :-) <with no spleens or undead putty tats>
Why would I have... <just making sure we're on the same page, old man>
Good idea.
What are you looking at? <your blancmange is getting away>
Ack! *runs after...*

<...piles of goo>
