I need a Saviour... help :(
« on: October 01, 2012, 06:18:22 pm »

                Hi all!

Since 8 months i been working in a module for nwn 1... a hard work and a very complete mod. Anyway, i added like 4 or 5 more haks today. It has like 30 haks in total. But since i added those haks, an error po ups when im trying to load the module saying:

"This module requires the following HakPaks, but there were not found"

and a list appears saying the haks that couldnt be found. Most of those haks were working in this module since i started it! some cep like "cep2_add_phenos" etc.

And i cheked in nwn.ini the hak directory and it is correct "HAK=.\\hak" and my foulder is "hak". And in the other modules i have the haks have no problems.
So i think it might be a problem in my dear module... but i cant find a way to solve it. '<img'>
Please help me because i dont want to lose this work.
Is anything i can do? someway to remove the haks from a module from outside the toolset, because i cant enter. Or some other way to solve this...

Thanks for your help...

likely this may be related to hak order, make sure there is no conflict between the haks, make sure each required hak listed in that error message is in your hak folder too.

Be well. Game on.

There's a limit to how many haks you can use in a mod, though I don't know offhand what it is.  Maybe the problem is somehow related to that.  It still looks for the haks, but stops loading them after it hits the limit.

Someone else recently had the same problem,  I do not have that much time right now,  but you can try what i sugested for him to try.   It was in the thread  Anyone Have This Issue With Haks?

hopfully if you need more help, Eyhe Khandee or someone else  can walk you through it.   The sugestions I gave in the refferanced thread are based off of some of Eyhe Khandee's old threads for recovering  correputed modules.

I believe the limit to HAKs is around 50. If this module is only using 30 then it is likely a different issue. Still worth looking into. Perhaps a resource limit is being hit and the following HAKs are not seen? I don't know. Just guessing.

But isn't there a way to open the module in a GIF editor and change the custom content list? There is also the trick of turning one's module into an erf and importing it into a new module.

edit: I mean GFF editor

Solved!! '<img'> thanks everyone, your help was vital, i recovered all my work..

i solved it using programs i never saw like the hak editor and the nwn2 packer (yes nwnTWO, somehow it worked) so i exported( with Hak Editor)/imported( with nwn2 packer) every resource to a new module and voila!'<img'>
