Crowley's Magnificent Adventure - Little Preview
« on: August 21, 2011, 04:00:31 am »

               This small preview shows you Highland for the first time in the Tales of a Forgotten Realm series. Trying to immerse players into the world, we have added all the extra detail to Highland. For example, as Crowley progresses up the mountain leading to Highland (this is just one of the many pathes to Highland BTW) snows starts to fall as he gets nearer to the top.

Thoughts? Questions?

               Design of the level: multiple slopes in one line. Wit the tileset you had used so much more is possible then walking straight. Differentiate it, make gentle slopes or make PC to go little to the left or right sometimes.
Does the trigger that launches snow, disables it too when going down? 2 separate triggers might do the trick: first disables snow and second activates it. When going up you step 1st and then 2nd and you have snow everywhere. Going down: 2nd, then 1st that disables snow. Also you may want to put some snow placeables in the upper sides of the mountain.

               I see werelynx's point about the single path up the mountain.  But aside from that, it's lovely. '<img'>

               There is no snow on the ground?
Can't aurora "progressively" change the tilesets to snowy ones when the "snow trigger" is activated?
Otherwise, about a transition to a snowy area...

               Werelynx does have a good point. I'll be changing the straight path and also adding additional paths to little bits of loot and yes, as you go back down the mountain, the snow turns off.

@jmlzemaggo

I don't think Aurora can do that and if it can, I don't know how to do that! I'm a good modder but not that good! The best I can think of is if I design my own tileset...and I don't know how to do that yet.
