Are there any NWN mods that include general aesthetics?

               I'm very much a newcomer and this is my first time playing NWN. I was wondering if there are any modules that include ways to add aesthetic  options to NWN? For example, if one were not satisfied with the head and body size/shape choices for a certain raise, would said modules, should they exist, include additional options to allow for different heads and/or body sizes/shapes not in the original?

               Do you mean "modules" or "mods" (as in "modifications")? In NWN, modules are usually stand-alone adventure campaigns, complete with their own stories, characters, rules etc. If you'd just like to change the way your character looks when playing the Official NWN Campaign or any custom created module campaigns, you're probably looking for "mods", or rather "overrides" (as people often use "mods" as an abbreviation for "modules" here, too, but contrary to the word's use in relation to other games, in NWN we mostly mean stand-alone adventures by that, not modifications).

In order for the game to adjust to your character modifications, you need to put the new heads or whatever it is you want changed into your "overrride" folder under your NWN game path.

Have a look at this list for a few possible and popular options to enhance aesthetics and gameplay. I'm not so sure about body sizes and shapes but you can definitely add new heads to the game (e.g. No. 8 & 9 on the list) and you can also change the look and color of body parts and clothing in-game (e.g. with No. 3). It's also possible to override the look of certain monster races (e.g. Undead, No. 16), etc. etc. Be aware that these overrides aren't always compatible with each and every module out there (or even with each other) but most should work fine with the Official Campaign, I think. Two things about that list:
- Don't forget that the hak, a strong choice made by the author, will always prevail over the override, and my list is 99% about the override. So, depending on the module you're playing, you might get lucky and benefit from the humongous potential of that list. Or not...
- I'm concerned, or is that curious, you didn't find that "sticky" list if you were looking for "add-ons" as a new player. So how would you have called that list yourself, a list which is specifically all about what you're actually lookin for? (I'm not being french, meaning mean here, just thinking maybe the title isn't right...)
*** A sticky is a special thread about humongously important NWN stuff ':whistle:' , to be found at the top of every NWN1 forum.
