Agrenost - Beneath the Cobbles: the DIY Review
« Reply #15 on: September 18, 2010, 06:33:22 pm »

The character customizer won't work with any CEP module I'm afraid JML. CEP have their own crafting system and the same conversation file is used to access both CEP crafting and Kamiryn's crafter. (Or it used to be anyway. Can't imagine it has changed.) CEP is in a hak and therefore gets preference over your override folder.

Got access to the toolset? Or a way to alter the contents of a hak?

(Bubba, it's a system to customise the appearance of your character, not a pre made character.)

                @ Shia 'Posted
Bammer! But much worth it, just for the pleasure to hear from you, sunny 'Posted  of England.

I played (many '') CEP community modules which didn't prevent me to use Kamiryn's jewel. There must be a way around ':bandit:'. Even if I managed to have my PC looking almost as I wished it ''. But everything gets so easy and imaginative with Kamiryn's ':wizard:'...

@ Bubba

You've got mail!

Game on!

A joy to hear from you too jml '<img'>

It works with CEP? Ok I may be mistaken then. I havent played a CEP SP module for quite some time. Perhaps I am misremembering with CEP 1.x .

Bubba, the tool JML is trying to use depends on an unmodified  x0_skill_ctrap.dlg  . Perhaps this makes it easier for you to troubleshoot for him?

Have fun '<img'>

               'Posted Shia

Bubba made, I think, a CEP/ hak file of his own for his module; which might be the one preventing us to use Kamiryn's, forcing CEP to overcome any override around. Not sure, but possible...

Ah, one last thing, you are never mistaking!  'Posted
Since you're a woman. As the woman word for mistaking is... distracted:

'Posted 'Posted 'Posted

This is much better in french actually, and if you ever have a nicer word than "distracted", you know how much I'm willing to learn, especially from the opponent, as the most respectful ADWR player we always are.

Agrenost - Beneath the Cobbles version 3 is now available at the vault.

Version 3 includes added dialogue, new encounters, new magic items as well as 4 months worth of polish.  Player suggestions and additional playtesting have identified a number of minor bugs, spelling errors and other issues in version 2, all of which have been corrected.  Thanks to all who have provided me with feedback!

NWN works better than my head. Don't try to put the blame on anybody else but yourself. '<img'>
If NWN crashes, being the most polite of the games, you should get a message saying to check your NWN/logs/nwclientLog1 file where to read what you did wrong.
You, and nobody else.
I never made any mistake in my entire life... :innocent:   ':police:'
And yes I do consider myself lucky. ''            '-_-'

(Don't worry, I'm just acting as a sunny sunday bad joker... '<img'> )
Another "general" tip: When a problem accures, try playing with no override folder. None. But save it on the side!!! Oups, too late... ''
That could show you where the problem comes from. Not in that case, as, to me, it very sounds like an hak missing problem here. Did you install the 3 latest CEPs? I think I had the same problem when I first launched Bubba McThudd's Agrenost - Beneath the Cobbles piece.

Good suggestions jml - the override folder is often the culprit.  And I did remove the time restriction on resting in version 3 per you suggestion so playing spellcasters is a bit easier.  Much more effective than relying on the AI controlled mage npc too!

Stack her up with 10 wands of Magic Missile and never rest, problem solved. At least, that's how I managed to keep her under control ':wizard:':innocent:

Have you tried playing other modules? Does that error occur only with the Agrenost or is it an issue with NWN in general? In the latter case, you might get better advice in the Technical Support forum (don't forget to post your system specs!).
