Sorry if this is slightly off-topic :I am new to NWN (still on the original campaign)and the idea that there are adventures out there for the future is really good.I can't reccomend a module but I can say that it's discussions like this that will guide me which modules I will try next.

               @ febemor

That is how I chose and choose my next module to play, 99% of the time.

You never play alone, not really.

The first 10 pages of the vault sorted by top score and/or most votes.

..and that is just the begining.

Way too subjective a question to answer meaningfully with all due respect. I mean the very power draw of this game is getting the OC's (which vary from good to excellent), the digital mods (if you were lucky enough to buy them) and the commuity content which frankly in many instances blows away all of the above.

In addition to all the fantastic mods (series) listed here I will throw in a couple of old bones that also need especial mention: Cormyrean Nights by Serv, every mod made by Baldercarn (esp the rogue one), a couple of mods made by thegeorge (the Persian Prince series of 2 and Wake series), Darkeness Over Daggerford, Torslunda, all the mods made by Alazander (AL1 AL2 AL3), the Midsummer Series, GlennPudney's recent mod series. alas... the list goes on and on.

The Rogues of Quin is a great module series '<img'>

It's kind of Shabby at first, but once you are allowed to leave the guild complex, it starts getting good. Part 1 felt... small and incomplete. But part 2 is much bigger and fills much more complete

Currently playing Maugeter - The Keys to the City v1.0.5, by Jaxtrasi.
What, you don't mind? Great, but the reason why I'm telling you this is nothing but to mention how much I'm impreesed by it. And I haven't even finished the piece.
This is probably the best surprise I had with NWN in the last months, along with Amazon Warrior. (Not to mention the updates of some masterpieces.)

I knew it right away. Good modules have that special something. A flavor. They're different, because you feel the author in them at first step.
When you start this Maugeter one, the first thing you see is Jaxtrasi. And his universe, the way he lives and sees even my very same but different planet.
Not to mention the fun of the writing, fun which I don't mind too much. Well, I just realised I like fun actually! How surprising... '<img'>

Now, before anything else, even if it's already a little late for that, I really wanted to thank that usually very well hiding Reviewers Guild, and especially RyanC08, in that particular "Maugeter" occasion. These girls and guys do a very fine job, and even worse, for free...
My player's thanks. Not to forgot Jaxtrasi, of curse.

I'm fully aware this is just me, and my only opinion. Fine, that's already something.

I just finished The Aielund Saga and was quite impressed. While not my favorite module, it's certainly up there.

I think that for standalone mods my favorite is The Crimson Tides of Tethyr. Grand storytelling, a sweeping adventure and lots of opportunities to roleplay and not just watch things happen to your character. I also appreciated the depth of lore the author showed, and the love they clearly have for FR. I also highly recommend the followup to CTOT, Tyrants of the Moonsea.

On that note, are there any other standout mods that use the FR setting? I've seen people recommend Almraiven/Shadewood and I plan on taking a look at that.

Also my personal recommendation -> Darkness over Daggerford (situated in the sword coast)

Many great stories out there from which to choose, and I have adored so many of them personally on a subjective level.

Thus my vote on this topic is an objective choice of one w/o any story at all: The Pretty Good Character Creator and Customizer (ie; PGC3) which was involved in getting so many characters prepared to see those other tales of fantasy.

The only module I played over a 1000 times, great choice Elhanan.

Never played NWN much and it was ages ago, but my favourites were the "Shadowlords" and "Dreamcatcher" campaigns as well as the beginnings of two sadly unfinished campaigns: Witch's Wake and Bone Kenning. Man I'd still love to learn how those two would have played out in sequels. '<img'>

So have you played Demon by Adam Miller? It is a sequel to Dreamcatcher.

I like those campaigns and Bone Kenning, too. Have you played Soldier's Grave by the same author as Bone Kenning?

Witch's Wake was just too cryptic for me(but then I was few years younger).

               1/ ADWR
2/ Anything by Stefan Gagne (Excrucio Eternum is great too '<img'> )
3/ Enigma Island

Special mention for Arandie & Kunoichi & Batard de Kosignan

Mad props and respect to these authors, who have given me such wonderful times over the years.

               The Aielund Saga
Tales of Arterra
Dastards Marrow
Sanctum of the Archmage
Kales Rangers (although it was never finished)
Prophet (impatiently waiting for the third installment, and please, for the love of the Seldarine, let it have a happy ending. *crosses fingers* )
Midwinter Fesitval trilogy
An Ancient Heart (Was never finished AFAIK)
A Harper's Tale

...that's all the ones I can think of for now.
