Question on server list

Hello All,

   Returning player from a rather long hiatus (several years). So I've re installed and updated to the latest and greatest. All seems to work fine with one exception, the server lists.

  I've come to terms with the whole gamespy debacle and educated myself on nwncx 0.2.8 as the solution according to The Amethyst Dragon on the NWN community site (thank you TAD). However the server lists are still not populating. I'm pretty sure I patched my main.exe correctly as the camera is now unlocked. So what am I missing ??

 

Some specs:

Win 7 Pro 64 bit

Installed all from original discs (patch excluded ofcourse)

That I can't answer as I don't use NWNCX myself. It could be that you haven't yet editted your hosts file though. Here's a link that explains how that is done: http://www.neverwint...lders_hosts.htm

Ok, that information wasn't readily apparent, thanks again. However it did not resolve anything. Only my history tab works. So basically I have to open the lists in a browser, look for a server there, copy ip, launch game, paste into direct connect. A hassle for sure when server surfing for a new home.

ok, so I'm assuming that only I have this problem with nwncx since I see no mention of the server lists not functioning correctly in the last 6 months or so. 

 

Lazarus, thanks for the links, I had already read your post, and the second link is for nwn2 and doesn't apply (unless there's something I don't know).

 

Strange, like I said, I know I patched it correctly because the camera is unlocked. I'll try neverun then.

The issue is fixed in a pre-release version here:
