Tool for Comparing/Editing Columns in a 2DA - Is there one?

I've run into an odd situation where a tool that compares only a specified 2DA column would be great. I'm thinking something like Excimer's Tool but where you can restrict the overwrite to a specific column within the compared 2DA files.

 

Here's what I've got:

 

In the optional q_!fightingsfx.HAK I have a modified appearance.2da that is used to link certain sounds into creatures. In q_2da.HAK I have the base appearance.2da that does not reference the new optional sounds (this is by design). I am in the process of doing a mass renaming so that the index for appearances in the toolset is more user friendly. Since I'll be manually editing EVERY line to have a new, more user-friendly label I don't want to have to manually repeat the process for the other appearance.2da.

I have that tool, but it doesn't allow you to just change the contents of one column it compares by row. I need something that compares by column.

2DA Edit looks like what I need. Many thanks, ShadowM.
