Unlocking Chapters
« on: December 01, 2011, 01:37:48 am »

I had to reinstalls NWN1 and don't want to have to play through all the Chapters again to unlock them. I know there is a line to add to a file that unlocks all the chapters, but cannot remember what the command is. Can anyone refresh my memory?

Thanks Lightfoot. Nice find. A very important file.

About that one, I'm a bit confused with all these "minus + & -" and stuff:

"Client CPU Affinity=0
Specifies the CPU the game client will use on a multi-core computer. Cores are numbered from 0 to the number of cores minus 1. As of patch 1.69, a value of '-1' is treated as '0' and a value of '-2' indicates that the game should use the default affinity (if any) provided by the operating system. (Added in patch 1.67.)"

I'm playing NWN on a 2 cores engine (Mac, only for the records)
What should I write, and... should I write anything?
I've always had that feeling the game didn't use both.

Well you do nto want the game to use both.   So set it to either 0 or 1 depending on what cpu you want the game to run on.    In single player the only safe way I see to use both would be to run the game using the stand alone server  on one core and log on to the server using a client on the other core.    NWN was just written before dual cores and things get out of sink when you run the client with both cores.
