Honestly, I think this is a very good initiative! 

 

I am but a novice scripter myself and throughout the years I have tried many times to work on a module all by myself. (seeing that I could not find anyone who was willing to help me along with it or me being too proud to ask) 

 

But honestly on my current project (and planned PW) Buffy module I would more than welcome any help people are willing to give, which is for the most part just altering some scripts or adding some to make things run more smoothly. So here I will hold out my hand with a request to help me get my module ready to be played (for the most part it are only minor things....and maybe some larger things XD)

it was in the spirit of this thread that I chose to help Old Fog with scripting for Hill's Edge, and it is exciting to see this server develop now.                Well i am just trying again as I am really getting stuck with the scripting and this is probably the wrong section to ask but well seeing that this was in the spirit of helping each other I sorta felt it was ok to ask? (If not then ignore me but if there is a scripter here who would like to help me with several things for my buffy srrver I would very much appreciate that. Mostly need help with subrace, faction persistance and a few quest changes I cannot seem to pull off codingwise.

I can agree with everything everyone has said here. I am sure many people here needs a bit of help, at one time or another. Several people in this post and who are not have helped me in the past to either fix a script or two, or more..lol Which I am greatly appreciated, even thou I can often understand how they work, while others are way way over my head. Just can't seem to grasp it to write one myself. I'm more of a hack scripter then anything else.

 

I too have helped many mods with building. Even created many areas for myself. Also have been working on a PW mod for over 6 plus yrs. I took a ancient mod when I first started playing/DMing NWN, re-designed the whole area and replaced a ton of scripts [because many didn't work with the updates]. I built a huge Underdark and combined the two. But like everyone stated you get overwhelmed and burnt out. SO I have been working on and off, and leaving NWN at times.

 

I always offer help to those who helped me and I will extend my building talent to those who need it. If need a DM, which I love to do as well I can offer that as well. But for scripting part of it, well I can do my best but then again I am no novice scripter. '>

 

This is why I will always love the NWN community, so much LOVE for this Game..
