An Invitation to ArgentumRegio - full featured, pnp style server.

               ArgentumRegio has been a work in progress for eight years. Myself and my partner in code (Eriniel) have been very busy creating a ultra-pnp style world. On this world you can climb, jump, swim, and if you have magic or wings for it, even fly. We have added over 60 spells (most from DnD such as Wish, Liveoak, Wall of Ice and many more). ArgentumRegio allows you to create a backstory that impacts game play at many levels. The server allows expanded abilities based on race or class (e.g. paladins can detect evil, mages detect magic, druid forms can swim/fly/climb appropriately,  rangers track, monks have reduced falling damage, etc.). ArgentumRegio offers over 1100 Areas to explore. PC's gain xp from kills, but also from exploring new Areas, performing class actions (such as mages collecting books or rogues looting), and from ROLE PLAY (your text and emotes are logged during the session and the XP awarded on your next visit for RP done on this visit).

The server is VERY stable, reset only when we update about 2 times a week, crashes are pretty much unheard of here (the secret is in the code).

The server requires only CEP2.1 or better (hak), nwn v1.69 and both expansions.

ATM vacations are eating into our playerbase but do not let that stop you from exploring! Log in and visit the tutorial area (aka Noob U.) where you can discover all the special abilities your PC has here.

It is a dedicated server, online 24x7 - you can DIRECT CONNECT at 66.232.100.90 anytime. The server is listed under ROLE PLAY on GAMESPY. It is in late beta test and features many enhancements for each character class (rangers can track, scavenge for food, hide in trees, more) - each class has been boosted with minor 'rounding out the class' abilities. Come see why your fav class is better here!

We are looking for more DMs - currently we have about a dozen. There are more than 1500 PLAYERS listed in our servervault - growing by more than 50 per month and more than half of the new folks come back!

               I tried this game out, and found it great! I love how you can swim, jump and even fly! Its great to feel the freedom to do and go anywhere! I've played quite a few RP servers, but this one really is my kind of flavour, big adventure, hidden places, small odds and ends linking with other plots, and DMs are frequentally on! I've noticed that its a work in progress and still incomplete in Beta stage or something, but for what it is, and what its got, it can still be a great server to Roleplay at through my eyes anyday!

You are not alone, many would like our code, but we must disappoint you on that score - we've spent years perfecting our code and if we released it, there would be nothing to differentiate us from the rest.



To answer your question, YES, we have FLYING, SWIMMING, CLIMBING, JUMPING and hundreds of other systems running lag-free, crash-free, all pretty much scratch coded here by my partner in code (a brilliant lady just shy of her Masters Degree in comp sci) and myself (no slouch at code w/ 30 yrs experience).



Sorry to have to disappoint you on the code friend, but the smooth functioning sophisticated array of systems we have here is our selling-point, if everyone had it we would only loose the thing that gives us special appeal.

               I want to add my -Stamp of Approval- To this server. I've been a NWN player for ages, and a D&D player for even longer, and this is the most entertaining and faithful PnP-esque server I have ever seen. Not to mention a great player base with some very quality Role Players.....to overlook this server is to do yourself a huge disservice!

               Haven't really played any of the PnP stuff but I know there's a lot of useful and fun features all over the server. For any events you don't have to actually cause it to pause to ask if it's possible to swim through a lake or climb up somewhere if you wanted to, can easily start using the pc tools to look for a spot to toss up rope or climb or just hop in the water (and hope nothing is waiting inside of it anywhere).

Mages are a bit of an exception with all their custom spells since they can get out of a lot of trouble that others have, or at least when there isn't any wild magic in the area... Really have to check for that before that drow rogue in your party starts to quaff through his potions; and then end up enslaved and shackled to you ;

Haven't played mages at all much before this server but now i'm finding it hard to switch to my usual rogue class character... Not really because mages are over powered or anything, since rogues have just as many useful features with their own class, but because it's fun with my mage really ^^;

               PNP fans love this place - and for good reasons - the feature list closely parallels the classic d&d game. Here your PCs can RP even beyond mere emotes. Why emote *flies* and hope a DM will come jump you to your desired location - when a GOOD SERVER scripts this, both to empower the PC and to NOT waste the DMs time.

Come see how stable a server can be - lag free, 1250 Areas and a feature list par excellance.

Seeing is believing. Run the tutorial area, ask about the Immersion Tool, and revel in cRPG like nowhere else.

Two months of failing hardware on my internet-ready system made for no updates, this was finally fixed (when I could afford the hardware) only to run smack into the Master Server being down. The frosting on that cake? My lead scripter lives in Cyprus where the rolling blackouts post explosion near the power station. '>

All that aside, the server is ONLINE, updated yesterday and running fine. Come see why this is the home of IT.
