NWN/Forgotten Realms Fantasy Football

               This year we will be doing another round of Forgotten Realms Fantasy Football. Do you have to have any knowledge of football to do this? Not really.
This year we are going to do as many teams as we can.
Please try and choose a Forgotten Realms/NWN Themed Team Name.
The winner gets the NWN Realms Trophy Cup till next year.

Basically you create a team of existing pro football players and as they play each week you get points depending on how they perform. Your total points are compared to whoever you are randomly matched you against that week in our league and well whoever scores most wins. You dont have to know much about players to pick a team if you let the machine pick your team, kinda cool that way since you get what you get and have to make it work. Anyway not sure if that helps.

Known to be the thinkers and strategist of the gridiron

Undersized and ugly to boot but they sure can eat!
Crimson Darkness
We do not talk about them...*shudders*
Luskan Wharf Rats
Ever see Snatch? They all talk like Brad Pitt so we have no idea what thier strategy is.
Calimshan Crushers
Always arguing with the refs and trying to sell them two goats and four broken Lamps of the Genie....

We also had a reporter who will make alot of fun calls again as well. SOme good names could be like the Hallowed Harpers or Zhent Crushers. Or Sembian SeaDogs vs the Thay Thrashers...lol...

I will be doing all the forum stuff for this here and on the actual page.

Looking forward to seeing you all there and if anyone has any questions please let me know. The league is started though we only have two teams so far logged up I know we will hit 16 within a week.

               We have 12 in now. We do have space for four more if we need to. Let me know in a PM.
Draft is on August 20th. I have set it for autopick. You can if you want go to the Edit Draft Picks so you do not pick someone you hate. (Like me and the Mannings.)
I tried to balance the scoring so no one player is too important and defense matters a bit but nothing major. Remember this is for fun. No one has any beers bet on it...well...I do with two other teams here but I know them so no worries, lol.

A whispering has been heard around the Realms as several prominent merchants, lords and ladies of noble birth and heroes great and small have all begun to assemble their armies about the Battle of Bones to be the one team to stand on the Hill of Lost Souls and gain the convened Realms Trophy.
Who will lead there army to victory?
The Sun Elf Tom Brady poised to throw his silver daggers into the hearts of the warrior lord of Manning? Or will it be Grey Beard Favre the Stout and Aged one who pulls from his heart one last victory? Or can last years swashbuckling rogue of a bard, Brees stun the Realms anew?
Even the Dark Elves come forth to do battle…lithe and quick with their multitude of slaves and hired sword and fell magics!
The Diviners have cast their stones to the winds and the prays are made. Let it begin!
The Realms will shake indeed with the sounds of war these upcoming weeks…mark my words as a Sage.

               Leagues that complete drafts (live, auto, offline) after 11:59pm PT on Wednesday, September 8 will start scoring in week 2. However, the commissioner can adjust the league setting "Start League scoring in" to Week 1.





Due to the above I think we need to start by at least Sept 1st? Everyone cool with that?

               Brave or foolish,  the Damaran Painbearers shall be there. As their name suggests, there will likely be a week where most of the players are on injured reserve - mainly because I will have forgotten to swap them out.
