Just out of my curiosity, do you play with the regular AI, BelgarathMTH?
'cause Deekin could be a real tough cookie as a well managed and trained bard.
Sorry this reply took so long - I didn't see the new post. I just figured out how to click on my forum portrait to go straight to a list of every topic I've posted in.
I've been playing this go-round with Tony_K's AI installed. My main problem with Deekin is that he doesn't do traps and locks. I do see how with Tony_K's ability to tell him to buff himself pre-combat and order him to sing Bardsong on command, he could be useful.
I just don't want to give up Dorna's traps-and-locks knowhow plus her toughness in combat, though.
I
really wish I could directly manage levelups like in NWN2. Then I could cross-train Deekin to have some thieving ability. Plus, I could have all the companions take useful feats instead of the irrelevant, useless, lame-brained stuff they take by default and that you can't do anything about.
And I
really, really wish I could take direct control of them and manage their action queues the way we can in NWN2 and Baldur's Gate!
