Hey Guys!
Ok, my friend talked me into working on a persistant world that he has created a server for... I can't help thinking that I've been lumped with the dog's share it's a good oppertunity for me to build a local I've been sitting on for a while and I'm kinda looking forwards to it.
I have a question though regarding 'missions'.
It will be a perisistant world with lots of stuff to do and socialise with, etcetera. But I want to add missions and quests for people to take part in when the manotony of just 'hanging about' looses it's fun. (Personal oppinion leave me be!)
I was thinking (idealy) that I would make the quests dungeon based, meaning that every time a PC or group reached the entrance of a dungeon they could then be whisked off to their own playing space that they could loot to death and be uninterupted.
Alternativly it would mean finding a way of making every chest, monster, door, item and everything else re-spawn under resonable conditions. (Not so fast that the play can just stand in one place pounding on the same boss, but not so slow that a player can defeat a boss and everybody else has to que until it comes back)
The question I'm asking, mainly to those who already have a PW with a simular concept, are either (or both) of these possible, and how can they be done? (Or where would the best place to re-post this thread be?)
Thanks in advance!
