state of the art custom race system?

Hello.... I'm trying to update the old Abyss 404 module, and if you played there back in the day, you might remember there were a *lot* of custom races.  The old custom race system on A404 required the PC to be booted (and re-login) and used NWNx.  While I'm still planning on using NWNx, I was thinking I might find something a little newer to work with regarding custom races, since I'll be changing a few things anyhow. I'm ok with integrating some custom haks if need be, and it'll be updated to CEP 2.61.  Any suggestions for a an easy-to-use custom race system?

This NWNX CEP 2 Subrace System by Genisys looks interesting, but no documentation is a little intimidating.  I can usually muddle my way through scripting tasks if I have adequate documentation.

 

And then there's

   Shayan's Subrace Engine for 1.69 which is probably what I'll go with unless anybody has any other suggestions.  I couldn't find 'Illiducius subrace system'

I would go with Shayan's. It's the most widely used, so if you run into problems there will be no shortage of help.
