How can I modify armor check penalties?
« on: March 22, 2013, 05:19:27 pm »

I'd like to replace Parry with Open Locks as an armor check penalty. What's the best way to do this? I'm a novice scripter and comfortable with editing .2da files. I've never edited a .tlk file but am willing to give it a go. Thanks!

To clarify... you want Open Locks to have an armor check penalty similar to the way Parry does?

If Khuzapeda is right in hat you're asking, in skills.2da there's a line labeled "ArmorCheckPenalty" that handles whether one is assigned to that skill in game.  This modification will need to be included in a client side hak as well, I believe, if you're doing this in a server environment.
