I'm looking for a way to forbid players from having more than one horse assigned at a time. I basically don't want them to have horse armies they could use against the enemies.

Does anyone know of a script like this?

How are they getting the horse to begin with? a item? by NPC conversation, or by a spell?
Does the horse join the party, like from the summon monster spell? or are they just nearby and the PC can mount them?

The more information you give the better the solution you will get...

Sorry, should have mentioned the details earlier, that's right.

Basically the horses are summoned via the conversation and possessing a proper item at the same time. When a right option in conversation is chosen, the horse is summoned, automatically assigned to the player who summoned it and the player is stripped of the item required to summon it.

However, at the same time I don't want players to be able to summon a horse, unassign it, summon another and assign the first one back. So any checks in the conversation as to whether the player has a horse assigned or is mounted won't work.

The best option, if that's possible, would be a script that would prevent horses to be assigned to PC at all if said PC is mounted or has a horse assigned.

Thanks for help.
