Unearthed Gold
« on: January 23, 2011, 11:34:25 am »

While looking through the posts in here I noticed that a lot of the questions were about things that I was pretty sure had been answered before in the old nwn.bioware forums. Also (to quote myself)

"In view of the statement -

"There is no guarantee as to how long the links (to the old BioBoards) will be active. It has already been stated by Chris Priestly that the old boards can disappear without notification."

I thought it would be a good idea if I 'rescued' as much of the scripts on these old forums as I knew the location of."

I have just spent the last three weeks extracting these old scripts and tidying them up so that they all had the same style in order to make them more readable. I have made the result of this available on the vault and called it Unearthed Gold by 210 Different Authors (Edited by Tarot Redhand). Included with the scripts, but in different files, are a couple of indexes as to what is in the package.

Hopefully this will be of use to someone. One thing to note is that I am pretty sure that I didn't get all of the scripts available on the old boards, so if anyone who downloads it knows of the url of any pages on that site with scripts not included, could you please let me know and I'll see about adding them. Thank you.

Please note.  Chris never said that the information on the old boards will be gone.  The old forms at one point or another will be archived, at that point the current links to the boards may break.  The real loss of information is going to be in the old 'Guilds'  this information will not be archived.  the real lost treasure will be in places like 'The Builders Project' an other guilds that have a wealth of information.

Here is the Quote from Chris and a link to the thread.

Sorry for my use of the word "until" as it has caused confusion. These forums, that you are reading now, will be able to be read at this/these URLs even after they are closed until they are archived.

After they are archived, the url/links to these threads may change (this is all done by wizards with wands and stuff that I don't understand). If we can make it so links do not change we will, but wizards are tricky and it may be beyond my control.

As for the guild forums, these will also eventually close. They will not close on Monday the 19th, but they may close without notice at any point after that. Guild forums DO NOT get archived, so copy your important information down and/or transfer it to the groups section over on Social.

Thank you.,  For going to the trouble of giving us a way to download the scripts in one package.

Thanks guys. I have included the scripts posted in 'The Builders Project' (as opposed to links to scripts). Now any urls to other pages with scripts anyone?
