idea for the stones in the game ...?

               I was thinking about the stones people really dont pickup .What if lets say an emarld gave you +1 to a skill point ..lets say hide for example.The stones stack so you found 10 ..you would have 10 extra skill points in hide .

Is this posibble to have extra skill points from an unequiped inventory item?

Has somone already dont something like this ?

               You could do it with tag based scripting. Useing the Aquire/unaquire events.
