Excuse me? Can anyone out there give me a bit of help please?

Some time ago last year, (can't remember when exactly) whilst casually browsing the forums here, I came across a picture of Rural Rocks/boulders. (think it was somewhere in this section of the forums) This was shown in reference to a hak (placeables) that someone had made of them.

There were different types, but the only one I remember mostly is the type that had a texture that made it look like it was covered in Moss.

And the picture showed a lot of these, all lined up against the raise/lower tile in the Rural Section of the Tileset.

It was done to cover up the old textures of the raise/lower tile. (an idea which really interested me)

I think it was Chico or Six, or if not, then obviously someone else who made these placeables.

But right now, I just cannot seem to find it.... anywhere. All my attempted searches have brought me nothing! '<img'>

I actually downloaded this for myself when I first found it too. So I have on my PC, a Hak File called "e3_rocks."

And I'd used this to make a demo module for myself too.

But unfortunately it's not working for me anymore, and crashes the toolset whenever I try to open a demo mod that has been used with the "e3_rocks.hak" '<img'>

I think this could be because.... well my system has been changed a bit for a while now.

I'm now with Windows 7 (64 bit), and it's possible that I'd downloaded that file back when I had Windows XP.

So changing my system might have somehow corrupted the file since it was most probably used with Windows XP, and is not used to the new Windows 7. Well that's my theory anyway. But there could still be another reason for it not to be working

Anyway, having given the best description I can think of for these placeables, and having tried to search for them on the new

http://neverwintervault.org/ and came up with nothing, ("rural rocks," "rocks" and "boulders" was all I could think of as a search name) if my description is enough to help anyone, please can someone tell me if this is something which is still up on the new neverwinter vault site, and to tell me where can I find it at please?

Have you tried using nwhak to open that particular hak file? If you think it's the been the cause of crashes, you might have luck exporting everything in it into a different hak, and see if that fixes things.

I believe that a lot of those models were uncompiled. Depending on your graphics card, it may be having issues choking them down as the game/toolset first compiles then renders them. Go to the manufacturers website for your computer and first look to see if there are any graphics updates available. This resolved similar issues on one of my own Win 7 computers. Sometimes, running in compatibility mode is needed too. Sometimes XP service pack 3 is OK, while on some systems XP service pack 2 is smoother. Lastly, with many windows 7-10 computers, it helps graphics if your toolset and game use the exact same resolution as your desktop.

Maeglyn got it right. What happened is your file got corrupted somehow. It's usually a sign of hard disk dying, sector by sector, but could happen in many other ways. System version, as long as it is windows, has nothing to do with it, in my experience.

Thanks a lot for the very helpful replies guys. '<img'>

@ meaglyn, I don't know how you were able to find what I was looking for with the description I gave, but that was the right one.

Felt like it took me forever not being able to find it. I'm really glad someone else was able to give up a bit of time to find it for me, and for that, I'm grateful.

Thanks a lot for that.  '<img'>

Took a while to look through those haks, just to grab those mossy rock placebles that I wanted, as they were in a bit of a mixed up order and not very straight forward. But I'm glad I have them now, thanks to meaglyn.  '<img'>

Re-downloading them from that place on the new nw vault, they appear to be okay with my Windows 7 system too.

I haven't really had any problems as yet.

Thanks again everyone. '<img'>
