Help with partial cloaks
« on: January 07, 2016, 02:04:21 pm »

Hi all,  I'm trying to get the partial cloaks (tattered, fur mantle and such, from both Lisa's set and AD's aenea cloaks) to work right.  No matter what I use for a color for the parts that should be transparent they become at best semi-transparent but still easily visible in game.

The 2da lines are correctly setting ENVMAP to ****.

It may be simply that I don't know which of the shiny colors on the cloth/leather palette is pure chrome. I tried the ones that looked likely, but have not tried all of them. Which color is "chrome"?

Edit: It's 061 isn't it? I don't think I tried that as it would not have looked like a likely candidate from the color picker. Will try when I get back home...

Have others had issues with these?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Meaglyn

Set cloth 2 to mirror, dye number 61

this will make the bottom of the cloak disappear. All cloaks however will show up as normal length when the tab key is pressed.

Thanks! I noticed that color choice after I posted. That's what I was missing.  I wanted at least the tattered one to look tattered. Eurgiga made a nice fur mantle which is actually a new model, so I may use that for the mantles.

Much better '<img'>    The glow effect is not that bad actually... the PC glows all the way down anyway it's just a little larger than normal. I suppose a side shot while running could look odd, but honestly I had to do the with/without cloak comparison to really notice it. Good stuff!

It's really a minor nuisance. I've been using lots of partially transparent cloaks over the years and having clothing or armor clip with normal cloaks seems more of a cringey thing to me than the halo in the modded ones.
