Unfinished Models Down Below!

Well, I have been meaning to post this for a long while. And by a long while, I really mean I've been holding onto these for about half a year. They were completed, but I refused to upload them because I wanted to couple them with other things.

Needless to say, those other things aren't coming. (No teacups, sorry!) So what you're getting is three teapots, they're all using a very simple animation so when you use them, the top comes off and sets off to the side.

Here they are:

The reason there is nothing going to be coupled with these teapots, is simply because I am done with making content for NWN. At least for a little while, I am moving onto another game - I'm off to Tamriel~  '^_^' I want to develop things a bit more sophisticated and detailed than what I am allowed to make here for NWN.

I will probably be back to do little projects for NWN, but I did cancel a lot of my upcoming projects, because I just couldn't be bothered to finish them with how I've been feeling. I won't torment you all with hints of what could have been, as it's a lot of things I dropped, but just know I might be back to do small things. I have some things still in mind that would be quick and easy to make.

I'm glad you like it! I thought leaving off my content with teapots was kind of silly, considering what I made -after- the teapots, and released -before- said teapots. But it seems people like simple things all the same, which is good for me. Because I doubt if I come back, I'll have anything too extravagant. Probably more emitter-based crap that I can whip together in like 30 minutes.  '<img'>

Have you thought about putting your unfinished stuff up on the vault.org in case anyone else might like to have a go at finishing some of it off? Sad to see you go, but if you feel that you need to in order to grow as a modeller... Farewell. BTW, which version of Tamriel III, IV or V (I personally as a player preferred IV because of the Ayelid ruins).

I suppose I could take a look and see what I have unfinished that I feel could actually be realistically picked up by somebody else. I can only think of two things really. I had a creature floating around, but it's so unfinished and abstract, that I don't think anyone could pick it up after me. I do have another creature that I'll consider putting up for people to toy with if they want to, though.

I'm heading over to work on Skyrim stuff. I am not sure what I am going to make there, I only have a weapon in the works right now. On the other hand, non-game specific, I am working on some things that I intend to build into a cute little short film. That is an area of skills I definitely was not touching on while worrying over NWN content.

It is definitely 100% the reason I am running off to do other things right now. I was not a long-time member of the community by any means, I mostly learned my trade, released some things, and felt like NWN was holding me back. This isn't just a hobby for me, after all. So I am not exactly sure if people will notice my absence too strongly. Although, I do keep liking things, checking on the community challenge because I like to see what people are making still.  ''

Still, thanks to all of you anyways! The few things I did release to the community, had a rather warm welcome it seemed.

As you suggested, Tarot, I went scouring for my unfinished works, made sure the files weren't completely broken and wouldn't throw errors. I then slapped them together in .max and .mdl files, so they should be relatively accessible by anyone.

I don't actually expect anyone to pick up the models, although I'd love to hear if anyone actually does, just so I can see what another mind came up with in finishing them.

I am not going to post any of the creatures I was working on, just not worth it. Besides, I may recreate one of them at some point, and actually fix a lot of things that were annoying me with the design. But I hope the other three projects are nice n' all that, sorry for not ever finishing them!  '<img'>
