Censers and ground alignment problem
« on: April 02, 2015, 06:18:26 pm »

I'm creating some incense burners. Everything lines up correctly when held, but on the ground their orientation is such that only the tip of the chain pokes up. Every time I try adjusting orientation at any object level it also messes up the way it's held. How do I fix this so that it lies on the ground in the correct orientation but is also held properly?

The way I did it was with two separate models. When wielded, use the one for holding that's oriented correctly. When 'dropped' despawn the 'held' object and spawn the 'dropped' object.

Awesome holdable.

I second what frith says. I use placeables for dropped items sometimes.

I also believe that the "RotateOnGround" column in baseitems.2da that can be toggled to try different things too. You will probably need to make a custom item for this.

Yes, I have to agree. That is a great censer/thurible! Great work.
