While searching for things to turn into graffiti, I came across one quote that, if what we are told in the UK is true, shows that nothing changes. The quote is by an American author by the name of Ambrose Bierce, author of The Devil's Dictionary (1842-1913). This author apparently vanished in Mexico in the latter year mentioned, never to be seen again. Anyway, the quote is ->
"War is God's way of teaching Americans geography."

It's true enough; the U.S. is a large country and (at least when I went to school) students spend a good deal of time just learning internal geography. I learned much of what I know about world geography through personal studies of military history. The Brits have that extensive colonial history to lean upon.
