Editing existing prestige classes
« on: March 08, 2014, 11:45:20 pm »

So I'm playing neverwinter nights, but I really hate the racial requirement for arcane archer. When I DM irl, I never enforce racial requirements, so I'm trying to remove this one for my enjoyment. Can somebody tell me how to, or point me towards a tutorial?

Edit cls_pres_archer.2da.  Change the values for all the columns on lines 3 and 4 to ****, or remove those two lines completely and renumber the remaining lines.  Put the modified 2da file into your override folder or into a brand new hak file and add that hak to your module in the toolset.

If you're only going to play the default campaigns or single-player modules, the override version should work out for you (so long as such a module doesn't have it's own version of that 2da file in a hak.  If it does have that file in a hak, you'll need to replace it with your edited version or go the route of a brand new hak with yours above the included one in the module properties.
