Do objects inherit mass or velocity from a parent emitter

               i found an unused animation file in rubies old mod files which is a placeable linked to an emitter with a mass value, i dont know if it was unused because the mass value isnt inherited by the placeable or if it just wasnt finished, does anyone have any experience trying this?

edit: nevermind i dont think this was what i thought it was, think its not supposed to inherit the mass value lol
