                I want chocolate too! *pout*

*looks thoughtful*

*looks sly*

*smiles sweetly*

*hugs Rolo*

@ Funny little wizard: I'll finish the icicles on the moguls and maybe add a door texture to the end of the riser for Feb.

Toodles!

*walks slowly away... because she's a little encumbered with all the chocolate she lifted*

Fantastic! Look forward to it :-)

<hey! those were *my* snails! mistress *gave* them to me!>
Sorry, Bother. We'll get more, honest.

Small note, aren't those my old sphere models? The screenshot, anyway. Haven't had a chance to download it, just got home last night. '<img'>

               Heya Rubies,
Those were the models I had.  Zap me out the latest versions and I'll compare the two?

               <gingerly opening a small, non-descript package...>

Ah. As my *good* friend Cestus Dei points out, it's the deadline for the v2 files for December's Winter theme.

Got the improved moguls from Pen and this scary looking box from grumpy.
*pokes around in the box*
"Fogbref"? What in blazes is Fogbref?! <the 'foggy breath" vfx you committed him to a couple months ago?>

Ahhh. Right. *shakes the amorphous stuff out and holds it up to the light* Hmmm. Not much to it, is there. <it's *fog*, boss>

A 6 second cycle, it says here. Suitable for any warm-blooded, breathing creatures. Hmmm, can you make out the scratches underneath? <he says 'ye got me gold, yet, ye olde' ...something>
*clears throat* Right.

So, anything else coming in?
+ Jez_fr: Unknown - Secret Santa Stuff
+ _six: creatures - collaborate with Draygoth28 on mounts
+ wyldhunt1: script - AI for Blizzard Elemental

Rolo that's a really cool touch. I'm thinking more for use in modules than servers, with the recycle time?

               <being pedantic...>

It is an applied visual effect, so it is only on the client side.
The 6 second cycle means there is a puff of fog every 6 seconds or so. The effect lasts until taken off.

Edit: The animation is built in, there is nothing "firing" every 6 seconds, nothing added to the heartbeat, or anything. It's just an emitter with some animation keys on it.

<...to be sure he's clear>

I so want that fog breath VFX.

I have an icy cold area that's just begging for something like this.  PCs get bubbles when underwater, they need visible breath when it's freezing.  It would also be perfect to bring attention to my PW's in-game winter months (as if the snow falling from the sky, freezing cold streams, and need for a cloak outdoors wasn't enough).  Oh, maybe even as an added 1 round visual for creatures hit with frosty magic like cone of cold.

The cold breath is a fun effect to add. Daemon Blackrazor had one that was used when we played on his old ISSIG campaign world.. was such a nice touch for the out of doors areas.... And yep, a bigger one would make a great replacement for ice dragon breath, and winter wolf frost breath.

I'll be grabbing the VFX to use in my mod as well.  Actually, quite a bit of the winter challenge I might use, but this VFX specifically I'll be adding to all the non-undead PCs (and NPCs) in cold areas.

That foggy breath is really nice. Is there a way to add it to different creatures? A white dragon for example should always have foggy breath. Their cold breath CAUSES condensation in warmer areas - same VFX even if different cause. Winter wolves would also benefit from this. Or is this something that would have to be added to the model - like Six did with the IMProvements?

It's a standard VFX_DUR_*, so it can be added in any creature's onSpawn, or added to spells...
However.
The size of the "puff" is defined in the emitter, it would be pretty puny on a dragon, for instance. That *is* a good idea... <uh, boss. cestus is glaring. regional mod? remember?>
Heh.

*After* the Rogues CCC and the Winter CCC v2 is posted and I finally gin up my Regional PoC.

It's just a question of playing with the numbers, if someone else wants to give it a go :-) Nothing but Notepad++ was used (Well, the texture could be improved in gimp).

Just letting y'all know, I only did *holds fingers close together* a tiny update on the moguls '<img'>

Added icicles to the downer (but the reflection isn't working ':?') and a door shape to the normally hidden face of the riser. It is NOT a door, but no one says you can't put a transistion in front of it and pretend '<img'>

Version 2 is now up on the Vault.  *Gleefully moves this theme into the "DONE!" pile and eagerly thinks about spring.*  '<img'>

Updates in version 2:
- Updated snow moguls by Vibrant Penumbra.
- Updated Rubie's Snuggly Balls of Death creatures.
- Added in Cestus' foggy breath.
