Actually, the story didn't quite end with NeverBlender. About 6 months ago I was talking with a
very talented modder who has long-since moved on to other games, mostly to thank him for
this outstanding but overlooked robe from the NWVault. The way he'd put it together, basically modularizing multiple skin meshes was
very cool, IMO.
Anyway, that and all other work he did for NWN 1 was done in
entirely in Blender.

NewByPower was kind enough to take the time to dig up the python scripts (built on NeverBlender, I believe) and pass them along to me. I had intended to test these out and see how seaworthy they were with the current version of Blender but Blender and my machine do not seem to like each other much at all and I couldn't proceed.
However, I'll pass
them onto you and any other Blender users who might be able to check out how well they work with the current build. The scripts seem to detail much-expanded functionality over NeverBlender.
You or anyone else who can test these, please post back with your results!
Here is NewByPower's submission page at the Vault. I believe everything was done end-to-end in Blender. Pretty impressive, no?
