Looking for something called the PrC?
« on: May 29, 2011, 01:43:22 am »

Someone in another forum told me of a module that adds a ton of new base classes, prestige classes, and hundreds of new spells and feats, all useable in the OC for NWN through HoTU, and they said it was called PrC pack? There exact quote was "An enormous hakpack that adds something like 25-25 base classes, maybe
100 prcs, and several hundred feats and spells. If your computer itself
is slow, I'd avoid it. It's not a bad mod, it just really eats up RAM
when running."

Could someone possibly point me towards this, as I recently re-installed NWN and expansions, but I would love to add this Mod to it beforehand for an enhanced experience going through the game.

               You can snag it here!

You will also need this to create new charactes using PRC.

FP!

...... Is it..Is it really that small of a download? I mean, the CEP download a year ago was over a Gig. How does the PRC add so many races, classes, Epic classes, Prestige classes, spells and feats, and not even make it to 100MB total for every download I see listed on that page? Or am I missing something/something not loading?  I mean, it looks like everything on that page only totals 50mbs, give or take 5-10.

(I really would appreciate an answer to this. If it's really that small and adds all that stuff, I'm going to be ecstatic, due to the fact that I was figuring I'd have to drive to a friends house since I'm limited to a 26.4k dial-up connection.)  Also, is the NWNX_funcs a required download for it all as well?

Because most of the work involved in creating new races and classes is done inside text files (2das/tlks) whereas things like the CEP add new models and textures that take up way more space. Compare the size of a Notepad document with a jpg and you'll answer your own question.

Ahh, I kind of figured a lot of it was text, but in the case of new races, and new classes, wouldn't those require new animations(for new spells and stuff) and graphic figures(because, Obviously, there is no Texture model of a Half Dragon, or a Goliath).  Or is that technically where the majority of the size comes from, and the text stuff really is JUST that small as to be virtually insignificant. Regardless, I'm quite happy, I'll be able to d/l all of this in a few hours and then I'll be able to start playing NWN over again for the millionth time in the last decade.
