Dragonborn
« on: May 10, 2011, 03:39:10 am »

Short an simple, I just started up playing a roleplaying campaign with some friends in NWN and one of the players is really into the idea of playing a Dragonborn. We got everything sorted out except making him look like one. Are there any custom race/head that you could point me to? I have been searching the internet high and low for about two hours now and come up with nothing.

Help appreciated!

Perhaps if you were a little more specific on the characteristics such heads should have?

No custom race as of yet. There are a few dragonkin, but that's about it

Personally I think most of the dragonkin could use a touch up, honestly. Or at least the main ones that are Lizardmen with scaled dragon heads

As is I think that just a dragon-like head would suffice, it will mostly be there to not break the immersion.

In case you're not familiar with it yet, there is a helmet in the form of a dragon head that you could use to simulate a dragonborn. If you use CEP, it's already included. If not, here's the link to the original hakpak:

Masks (by Kinarr Greycloak)

The accompanying screenshot doesn't really do the helmet justice but if you'd like an example of how your dragonborn could look using this helmet, here's another screenshot I found from someone including the helmet in his hak collection:

Those are just the sort of thing I was looking for, thank you!

Now just to see if I can get them into the regular campaign...

EDIT: Bahamut save me, this is tricky. It was quite easy to get it into the Prelude, but the actual campaign. I am asking straight out, is it even possible to change the campaign main files? I have toyed around for a while with NWN Explorer and the like, but thus far the only thing I have gotten it into is just that, the prelude.

Any tips on where to start?

EDIT #2: Nevermind, I aced it, Bahamut be praised! =p

Ryugiin made some half dragon models that looked pretty good if I remember right.  I don't know the feasibility of removing a head from one of those to use for a PC model.  Might just change entire appearance to use the new model, just you would not have a dynamic character with changing armor appearance anymore.
