Of semispheres and texture rotation
« on: April 30, 2011, 08:45:45 pm »

Here's another dilemma! lets say i have a tile that contains a semisphere with a skybox applied. we all know the sun rise at east and sets at west, so id like to have this sphere (thats the sky of the windows) texturized in the way you'll always get the sun in the position where it should be (it has daynight animations like the exterior skyboxes do) someone knows how to accomplish this? planar mapping and texture rotation enabled on the aurabase is easy, but a semisphere vertically oriented is a brainstorm! halp!

its officially impossible to rotate a texture on anything other than the xy plane (known as z axis), i solved the puzzle with a workaround
