@mandy2michael -There are some scripts based off of Neverblender which were created to load NWN 1 models into and export out of Blender but they do not work with Blender 2.49b or newer. I'm not exactly sure which version of Blender you'd need to run them. Probably something circa 2008. If you have experience working with Python and/or writing simple Blender scripts, you could probably update them to run on a more recent version. More information can be found
here. You might also
qualify for a free limited license from Autodesk, though, for a copy of the newest 3DS Max.
@Shemsu-Heru - You're a Max 5.1 user? Did you know the official Bioware export scripts work under Max 5? You can download them
here. They may conflict with MDL-Suite, which is what you're using right now, I believe. They don't have a way to import NWN models so you could use MDL-Suite (if it doesn't conflict) or possibly something like Wayland's import scripts on the Vault. It does work wonderfully with Velstools and Tile Set Creator, though. I only use them to export NWN models. I'm not sure if I've ever loaded them. Maybe load them with someone else and delete and re-create the model base or something like that. Anyway, they're fast and very solid, though admittedly old. For instance, some of the .nam files aren't updated with the latest animation names like the extra custom looping animations added up until 1.69. You might give them a try sometime. IMO they're a real treat if you use Max 5 but everyone has different tastes so it may not be for you. You can also download the
3ds Max DDS Plug-ins from NVidia to allow you to use DDS textures in Max 5. Not Bioware DDS, regular DDS.
