Custom Music Hak
« on: March 11, 2011, 02:23:59 am »

Does the CMP require anything aside from downloading the hak file, in order to access the new music files in the toolset? Because I'm not seeing them thus far. Working with CEP 2.3.

PS: Generic title of a sorts because one of our players is creating a custom music soundtrack for World Serpent Inn, and I am SURE I'll need to post to ask questions on how to put it together. He agreed to release it to the Vault afterwards for anyone to use, and the music is quite good.

the .BMU files would need to be placed in the music subfolder of NWN.  So, nwn\\music.  Any hak containing 2da data etc, just goes in regular hak folder.

Note- although this is an old thread.

Music is an optional resource.

Meaning, if you want players to get into your server, without being required to have the Hak, then you can simply have them download the music as bmu files, and then download the 2da file as an override resource.

If they put the 2da file in the override directory, it is non-blocking, in that they can get into the server, with or without the music resources.

A hak on the other hand, will kick the players out, if they dont have the hak in their hak directory.
