cep toolset crashes.
« on: February 02, 2011, 05:03:57 pm »

i just downloaded cep2.3 and put all the files where they are supposed to go. (all the haks in to the haks folder, and the tlks into the tlk folder. and the erfs into the erf folder."

now when i load up the nwn toolset and i load up the cep v2.2 starter mod and then i click on a certain creature and the model isnt there. but some models are... but if i keep clicking on one that has a missing model the toolset will some times crash and i will get a message saying "aurora neverwinter nights toolset has stopped working"

example... under the abberations category, i first select the aboleth and the model is there, then i can click on the beholder and the model is there, but then i click on beholder tyrant and the model is gone... then i click on any one of the driders, and the models are gone as well... if i keep clicking the toolset will crash. can someone help me out please? thanks...

p.s.
i have windows 7, and i have nwn diamond that is updated to the highest patch.
thanks for your help.

I think cyberglum was asking if you used FILE > IMPORT to import the erfs into your module, something you really should NOT do unless you absolutely have a need for them - iirc they were included in the download so those who wanted to edit some of the cep2.3 content could do so more easily.

Simply having an erf in the erf folder does not import it, it just places it in the right place TO quickly import (the default folder for importing).

IF you are going to use the  cep v2.2 starter mod. You should try downloading cep 2.2 and see if it has the models you are missing.

Or you could try running the updater for cep 2.3 to make sure it is fully up to date.

ok i have also tried using cep v2.3 starter mod and the same thing happens... also when i click on cep update, i see a black box that flashes real fast then disappears. ill try downloading cep v2.2. in the mean time is there anyway i can fix this with v2.3? unless everyone is having this problem with 2.3.

most models arent there, while a few are. how do i fix this?

Looking at the Vault page earlier, seems quite a few people have had recent problems with it Jeffro429. You're not alone.
