3ds max11 multiple questions

               1.If i assign a materail in 3ds max11 and import it into nwn would i have to texture it or is my materail good enough for game play because i added bump maps and color.I think it looks good but im not sure if that is considered a texture.

2.I want to add a glow effect to simulate a glowing end of a fire poker to simulate that its red hot.Will nwn support this effect?

3.If someone could just list the buttons i would hit to export a model out of nwmax from 3ds max11 id appreciate it.

               To export, select the modelbase, open the Modify tab, and click the Export button, after selecting a path if desired.

               As far as I know nobody has ever used bump maps. They are only used by the shiny water which only works for about half the community. You might get them to work with NWshader made by Peachykeen, but then again only a few people will be able to see that effect.

I think it would be better to make a texture instead of just using colour and bump map.



For the glow effect you could use selfillumination which the amethyst dragon described in the 'field of war' thread, or you could use emitters or lights. There are probably several ways to do this. A light might look a bit 'round' and might not be the best solution.

Try selfillumination and if that doesn't have the desired effect, ask again about light and emitters.

Emitters are rather complicated, but might look best.

               2.I went and added a lens effect  glow onto the tip of the hot poker as it is a seperate peice and it looks good after fiddeleing around with it.So thats taken care of.

4.Im receiving a error when trying to export 1 peice of my model.I hope somone seen this before and could help me out.

Edit:  Read about error but still open to soulutions.

5.I have 2 FBX files here from 3dsmax can i shoot it over to someone?I actully have two different models of this Hot Poker.Both Files are currently not uvw mapped,not normal maped,not textured.
