Ideas that might help in scripting this:
1. Add in a "rot grub progress" script that:
a) handles the Spot check to notice the rot grubs
handles a round by round Wisdom check to notice the burrowing grub
c) handles the round by round Con damage (probably done as an integer rather than an actual Con damage effect)
d) keeps track of rounds to see if fire damage or damage will kill the grub
----> put this on a trigger around your piles of nastiness or on placeables onused/onopened event
2. Alter the script for
remove disease to allow it to kill/remove the rot grub.
3. Add in a persistant scripted option so that on a successful Wisdom check, the victim automatically:
a) casts
remove disease on himself/hersef or
uses a scroll of
remove disease on himself/herself or
c) burns themself with a torch if it's equipped (2d6 fire damage, round 1 or 2 only) or
d) cuts out the grub (2d6 slashing damage, round 1 or 2 only)
Since NWN runs so much faster than a PnP D&D game, I'd suggest reducing the amount of Con damage per round to give players a chance at counteracting the grub(s), especially in a party where the auto-cast/burn/cut option wouldn't necessarily be available to the party cleric for helping out the fighter than just reached into a pile of nastiness.
Good luck!
