Yeeeesss I'm back! I know you've all missed my absurd inquiries about NWN mechanics, and just to show my appreciation, I have quite a new one for you!
So,... whose great idea was it to make grass "appear" as you walk towards the distance? I have changed my "range of view" .2da numbers for some years, but they only seem to affect how far you may detect a creature, and not the grass itself.
I'm guessing it is some kind of limit related to resources and memory, which is, like... Sooo 2000! (Remember how Jarvis ****er invited us to "meet up in the year 2000", when we were all "grown"?... Man... I used to hope I never had to, cause it would be so pathetic), but, is there a way to actually see grass "as far as the eye can see", instead of having it pop out magically as one moves forward? It somehow gives me the feeling the world isn't there, and it is made as I go... very similar to a disturbing notion I had back when I was a kid, about reality dissapearing everytime I closed my eyes, only to return as I opened them.
Anyway, I hope someone knows how to deal with this, and is kind enough to share the tip!
Now, let's all meet up in the year 2020, when some of us may already be pushing daisies, giving a whole new meaning to the "grown" part in Pulp's song!
